How Purescape Wellness was born?

Being raised by an extraordinary, single, independent, and loving mother, Susan Jansen van Vuuren. She worked hard to raise my sisters and me, her passion and strong will are what has driven my success. She supported me unconditionally when I started a modelling and acting career at age 13, encouraging me and doing everything she could to enhance my appearance, thus an interest in health & beauty was born, that would later be named Purescape wellness.

I first became interested in collagen when I met Dr. John Charles, while on a holiday in 2019. He had been researching bovine hydrolyzed collagen for two years, specifically to help with the health and maintenance of his horses. This specific collagen product, when tested, revealed a 91,5% pure protein content. Dr. Charles started importing the product from Brazil, and this is when we joined forces. I decided to branch out into health and beauty, while Dr. Charles focused his efforts on the veterinary field.

Since then, my passion for the product and its health benefits has grown – prompting me to launch a range of collagen products for the health and beauty industry – namely Purescape Wellness. Products that are safe, efficient, and not harmful to anyone.

Why health and beauty?

Skincare has become a big part of our family life. I have always been fascinated with the process of ageing and its effect on appearance, growing up with the radiant women in my family. I realized that natural beauty is the key, a glow that begins within.

As a model, I have tried many different beauty products over the years to improve skin condition, and a lot of them did not work. I now know that true, pure beauty begins from inside.

So….what’s in a name?

A friend helped me conceptualize the brand name for my product range. Looking to the fundamentals for inspiration, we focused on the fact that this collagen is a pure, unadulterated product. Then we looked at the reason to use it. As we grow older, we seek to enhance the appearance of our bodies, looking for a way to escape the reality of ageing. And so, the name was born. Purescape Wellness.
